Rachel Ramsay
Rachel is an award-winning filmmaker, writer and director, represented by Curtis Brown in both fiction and documentary.
Her 2023 directorial debut, Copa 71, premiered as the opening night documentary at TIFF in September 2023, had its UK premiere at the BFI Film Festival, and played theatrically and at film festivals around the world. She was BIFA-nominated for 2024 Best Debut Director (Feature Documentary).
Rachel has over 15 years professional experience telling stories, and is particularly drawn to character-driven narratives that cross cultures and borders. Her command of languages, working in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French, enables her to draw out stories from across the world, making a mark with international audiences.
Before crafting her skills in TV and film making, Rachel cut her teeth in news journalism at the BBC World Service, The New York Times, The International Herald Tribune, CNN International and France 24.
Her unique and broad experience has given Rachel the ability to tell impactful stories, whilst respecting the individuals that make them.
Adele Reeves
Adele Reeves is a global producer and media executive. She is a creative and strategic leader with strong business acumen and a passion for entertainment who has been involved in the development, financing, production and distribution of over 40 projects around the world. Her portfolio spans theatrical documentaries, unscripted formats, feature films, scripted series, tv movies, live broadcast programs, digital content, and branded entertainment, for the likes of Universal Studios, Netflix, A&E, TF1, Sky, CBC, Red Bull, and many more. She has also played a pivotal role in building and growing innovative international entertainment companies like Reel One Entertainment, Red Bull Studios and Makers. She is an expert in developing concepts, overseeing the creation of pitch materials and pitching to commissioning and C-Suite executives. She is also highly experienced in business affairs, negotiations, financing, physical production and distribution.
While working in house at Red Bull her team built and led the content strategy for the company’s studio division which focused on long-format, premium, award-winning, content partnerships and productions whether developing them internally or seeking them out in the global marketplace or building and then filtering an incoming pipeline of submissions. Adele defined their strategy from a creative perspective and a financial one, and identified opportunities within the company’s existing properties and partnerships. She remains a trusted external consultant for the company whether handling business negotiations for their premium content and partnerships, or overseeing development of certain projects, or building strategies for scaling their content and streaming businesses.
She has also worked with many other large global brands in building their entertainment briefs and developing or sourcing potential entertainment projects that could fit within them. Her strategy is not just about ensuring the creative is on-brand and in line with entertainment standards, but also about delivering measurable wins based on their marketing objectives (winning attention, driving brand love, building retention, increasing engagement, offering EPC touchpoints, multiplying reach, ensuring relevance, gaining traction, etc.).
